Based on the last census, our county is the 16th fastest growing county in the state. We are at a crossroads and have choices to make to meet the future demands on our county government. Effective leadership is a must.
After nearly a year of prayer, I was led to make this decision. With the help of the people, I hope to make a significant difference for our county. I believe my history demonstrates that I am uniquely qualified to serve as your next County Judge. I will strive to conduct the county’s business in an open, transparent, and fair manner with community involvement. I will draw on my private sector business experience to help our county be as efficient and effective as possible for the people.
My professional career has centered on developing technologies to help governments and businesses become more efficient. Additionally, much time has been spent in public service to Wilson County including:
• Sutherland Springs Water Board Director
• FISD Board of Trustees
• Volunteer of the Year for American Red Cross
• United Way Volunteer
• Wilson County Taxpayer Association Director
• Wilson County Farm Bureau Director
• Church trustee and Sunday school teacher
I am married to Brenda Hunter and we have four children and seven grandchildren. I hold a masters degree in mathematics from Texas A&M and am a retired financial services company executive. I come from a family who was involved in agriculture, law enforcement and justice for much of their lives, including a Texas Ranger. We reside on and operate a small cattle ranch outside of Floresville. It would be an honor to represent you as Wilson County Judge.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
